The small problem with religion

I didn't know about Sam Harris before reading this indictment of contemporary religiosos, found by Merv. Harris has written The End of Faith, and tomorrow his new book Letter to a Christian Nation will be available. His upshot? That every religion is pushing the world towards disaster. I'm predisposed to the principle, so while I'm very glad to see it published, I feel no need to read it myself.
